The ground truth

Bad prep gets expensive fast

Water seeping through basement walls or floor every time it rains hard.

Our approach

We fix it from the outside — excavate the foundation, waterproof the wall, backfill with drainage stone, and regrade so storm water leaves instead of soaking in.

What you get

  • Exterior waterproofing and drainage stone at the wall
  • Grading and drain tie-ins built for Michigan storms
  • Protects the structure and your home's value

How it works

Three steps to break ground

01

Call and describe what you're seeing

02

Walk the site and trace where the water comes from

03

Excavate, waterproof, drain, and regrade

The cost of waiting

Put it off, pay more later

Left alone, water against the foundation keeps working through the wall and turns into damaged finishes, ruined storage, and foundation repair.

The payoff

Results that hold up

Your basement stays dry through heavy rain, and the house holds its value instead of carrying a known water problem.

Common questions

What homeowners ask before we start

Why does my basement leak after a heavy rain?

Almost always because water is collecting against the foundation instead of leaving. Saturated soil pushes on the wall and finds any crack or seam it can.

Can grading alone fix a wet basement?

Often it's the first and most important step, and for some homes it's enough. Pulling surface water away from the foundation solves a lot of wet basement calls before anything gets excavated.

What does exterior waterproofing involve?

We excavate down along the foundation wall, clean it, coat it, and backfill against it with drainage stone so water drops away from the wall instead of sitting on it.

Do French drains help with a wet basement?

Yes, when the problem is subsurface water. A drain at the footing level intercepts water in the soil and carries it to a safe outlet, and we tie it in while the wall is already open.
